Growing Healthy Families with College Park Farmers Markets

The College Park City Council recently passed a resolution to join the Healthy Eating and Living Cities & Towns Campaign (HEAL) which promotes local government policies that improve access to healthy foods and physical activity. As a HEAL member, our goals include providing city residents with access to nutritious and sustainable food options and promoting the use of food assistance at our farmers markets.

Food assistance programs like SNAP and WIC help grow healthy individuals and families! We are proud to say that all three College Park Farmers Markets have at least one vendor who accepts food assistance for fresh, local and affordable food. Vendors who accept these programs have a sign posted at their tent.

Our Downtown, Hollywood and Paint Branch markets are great places for everyone to shop for seasonal produce and enjoy a family friendly atmosphere, including life sized chess, live music and cooking demonstrations. More information about our markets and vendors accepting food assistance is below.

See you at the Market!
