Kapnos Taverna opens in College Park

Celebrity Chef Mike Isabella has opened Kapnos Taverna in the Hotel at the University
of Maryland, his twelth restaurant in the D.C. area. Kapnos Taverna will offer an
extensive list of Greek mezze, including crispy brussels sprouts with butternut
squash, octopus Santorini and roasted pork shoulder with apple, mostarda and tahini.

Potomac Pizza opens within the Hotel

Potomac Pizza uses fresh ingredients to create both traditional and specialty
pizzas and offers a fun and memorable atmosphere that local residents enjoy.
Pizzas are constructed using trans-fat and cholesterol-free pizza dough and
their sauce is made from scratch every day without dairy, nut or egg products.

Bagels N’ Grinds

Bagels ‘n Grinds has brought a new breakfast option to the base of
The Hotel at the University of Maryland. Bagels ‘n Grinds has an onsite
water treatment facility that’s visible upon entering the site
to ensure that their product tastes like true New York style bagels.

Old Maryland Grill comes to College Park

Local restaurateur Mike Franklin, who also owns Franklin’s restaurant in Hyattsville,
has opened the upscale Old Maryland Grill in The Hotel at the University of
Maryland. Old Maryland Grill serves a number of locally-sourced dining options
including Maryland-themed dishes such as crab cakes and Chesapeake blue catfish.
