For the second consecutive month, Fishnet has been included in the list of 38 Essential Washington Restaurants by the folks over at Eater DC, a source for information on the hottest restaurants in the region. The Turkish-inspired seafood restaurant opened in late 2011 on Berwyn Road in the former Berwyn Cafe space. Since then its been named one of the top 10 restaurant openings in the region by the Washingtonian and has garnered rave reviews from the Washington Post, Tasting Table, and the Gazette among others.
Fishnet’s menu includes fish tacos, fish sandwiches(grilled or fried), handmade french fries and fresh fish sticks that are nothing like those that Mom used to take out of the freezer. The restaurant uses the freshest ingredients, including never frozen seafood and handmade sauces.
In addition to operating Fishnet, the restaurant’s owners are currently exploring the possibility of opening a coffee shop in an adjacent vacant space.
