Plan Prince George Town Meeting

June 15, 2013
10:00 am to 1:00 pm

This upcoming meeting has important implications for the future of College Park.  On Saturday, June 15th from 10:00AM to 1:00 PM the Plan Prince George’s 2035 Town Meeting will take place at the University of Maryland’s Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center. The central purpose of the meeting is to discuss the need for a “downtown” Prince George’s and get input from residents, organizations and business leaders from around the county about the top places that are being considered.  College Park is one of six locations that will be discussed and we need a big crowd of residents from College Park and other areas of Prince George’s County to attend this town meeting and give their views.

This is an interactive meeting.   Everyone who  participants will have an opportunity to use computers and voting key pads to express their views about which areas of Prince George’s County should be priorities for economic investment. The meeting is sponsored by the Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capitol Parks and Planning Commission.  County Executive Rushern Baker will also be present to listen to residents and the recommendations that emerge from the meeting will be submitted to the County Council for action later this year.
