The Inaugural College Park Restaurant Week Is Finally Here: August 11th to 17th

Mark your calendars for the tastiest week of the year, as the inaugural College Park Restaurant Week is set to take place from Sunday, August 11th through Saturday, August 17th. 14 of the City’s restaurants are participating in the event with specials including a variety of three-course meals and other discounts. Check out the list of specials below and make plans to return to an old standby or find yourself a new favorite.

While each restaurant will offer a special for the week, the regular menus will also be available.

All listed prices are exclusive of sales tax and gratuity. Restaurant Week specials are not valid with any other discount.

If you’re visiting a restaurant in Downtown free parking in the garage at Knox Road/Yale Avenue will be available all day on Saturday/Sunday and after 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

Aroy Thai

The City and University to Host Outdoor Concert & Movie Night

The Downtown Summer Concert Series kicked off this past Saturday on a lovely night in South Gate Park with Harp 46. While the concert series will continue each Saturday in July, circle your calendars for the final night on July 27th. After the concert ends, the University of Maryland is providing additional entertainment in the form of an outdoor movie on Chapel Field at sundown (approximately 8:30pm)

The movie, 42 – The Jackie Robinson Story, tells the story of the legendary baseball player that became the first African-American to break baseball’s color barrier. The movie focuses primarily on Robinson’s first season in Major League Baseball with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The movie is rated PG-13 and received positive reviews from over 75% of critics on
