College Park Golf and Tennis Club offering specials with annual membership

College Park is lucky to have two great facilities in our community.  The University of Maryland Golf Course is a challenging and fun 18-hole course.  Many state, regional, and national tournaments have been held on the facility.  The College Park Tennis Club has 32 courts with a variety of surfaces located indoor and outdoor.  Use of both these facilities, along with a number of perks, are available with 12 month membership.

College Park is Seeking Farmers Market Masters

The City of College Park is seeking bids from qualified firms or individuals to act as market master for the Downtown College Park Farmers Market (Sundays from 10am-2pm) and Hollywood Farmers Market (Saturdays from 9am-1pm) this season. The market master will manage in-season operations on site each week including overseeing an information table, organizing the market area before opening, and breaking down the market after its closing.  Additionally, the contractor will meet with City staff and others to review various issues at the market.

Please note that respondents have the option of bidding on one or both markets. Responses are due on Monday, March 10th by 4:00pm.

Pork & Pinot:
A Farm to Table Experience

Dining Services and the Stamp Student Union are partnering to hold a signature culinary event in the Colony Ballroom of the Stamp on Thursday, February 20 titled “Pork & Pinot: A farm to table experience.”  Executive Chef Will Rogers will demonstrate how sustainability can still be gourmet by preparing a 3-course meal each paired with an award-winning Maryland wine, and cooking demonstrations.  The evening kicks off with a happy hour (cash bar) and passed hors d’oeuvres at 5pm with guests being seated for dinner at 6:15pm.  Please see the image for the menu or visit the website for more information.
